The Lions selected North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron with the tenth pick in the NFL Draft yesterday. Ebron holds North Carolina school records for receptions and receiving yards and had 24 catches of 20-plus yards last year. Detroit General Manager Martin Mayhew said he believes that Ebron is a special offensive weapon and that he fits into the team's offense. Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan went to the Tennessee Titans with the 11 pick and Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard was taken by the Cincinnati Bengals at number 24. Today, the Lions have the 13th pick in the second round and the 12th selection in the third round.
