LANSING, MI (WTVB) - The Michigan legislature has approved a compromise supplemental spending bill that includes about $215-million for roads, but only $100-million will be spent on snow removal and to battle what may become the worst outbreak of potholes in years. The other $115-million was set aside for road projects that are yet to be announced. The state will be looking for “shovel-ready” projects that can be bid-out to contractors this construction season. T

he package, which also includes spending for a number of smaller projects and addresses short falls in Medicaid and the Health Insurance Claims tax, now heads for the Governor’s desk.
