Max Scherzer pitched the first complete game of his career leading the Tigers to a 4-0 win over the White Sox in Chicago last night. Scherzer scattered three hits and gave up three walks while striking out eight in nine innings of work. Detroit was held scoreless by Chicago ace Chris Sale until Victor Martinez hit a solo home run in the fifth. Miguel Cabrera had two RBI and Bryan Holaday also hit in a run. Tonight, the Tigers return to Comerica Park to host the Minnesota Twins. Drew Smyly gets the start for Detroit, while Minnesota sends Kyle Gibson to the mound.
