(WNFL)- Brewers' manager Ron Roenicke has used six players in the lead-off spot this season. Scooter Gennett became the latest, when Jean Segura was dropped to eighth last night. The skipper said he wanted a hotter bat to lead off. Gennett batted .327 in his previous 15 contests with a homer and five RBI's. He singled in three at-bats last night -- and he walked, scored a run, and struck out twice. Segura, the Milwaukee shortstop, surged at the plate when he assumed the lead-off spot as part of Roenicke's major shake-up of the batting order in late May. Segura has gotten cold lately, going just 2-for-21 in his previous five road games going into last night. He went 0-for-4 in the Number-eight spot last evening. Carlos Gomez, Rickie Weeks, Logan Schafer, and Elian Herrera are the other Brewers to occupy the lead-off spot at various times this year.
