Torii Hunter and Austin Jackson both hit home runs to support the pitching of Justin Verlander as the Tigers topped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-3 at Chase Field last night. Detroit blew an early three-run lead, but went ahead to stay in the seventh inning when Miguel Cabrera singled home Jackson. Verlander allowed three runs on six hits while pitching into the seventh inning to improve to 9-and-8 with the win. Gerardo Parra took the Tigers starter deep in the sixth inning to knot the score. Detroit broke through the following inning against reliever Randall Delgado, who fell to 1-and-2 with the loss. The Tigers have won back-to-back games.
