Michigan Congressman bringing unemployed person to State of the Union Address as guest

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- U.S. Representative Sander Levin of Michigan will bring an unemployed woman from the state as his guest to Tuesday night's State of the Union Address.  Josie Maisano of Roseville was laid off last May and her emergency unemployment insurance expired on December 28th along with one-point three million other Americans.

Congressman Levin says that the number of people who have been cut off from unemployment is growing at a rate of 72-thousand every week.  He has been a loud voice in urging legislators to renew the program immediately.
