Band of Horses recently unveiled an acoustic version of “ Pt. One ,” a cut from their 2006 debut album Everything All the Time , on their YouTube channel. Frontman Ben Bridwell says the new version of the track was inspired by a cover of the song he discovered online, which was created by U.K. singer/songwriter Denai Moore .

“The other day as I was going about my usual business I came across this cover of our song ‘Pt. One’ done by Denai Moore,” he writes on the band’s Facebook page . “I was so taken by her version and the unique spin she brought to it, that it inspired me revisit the song myself. In short, I’m kind of covering her cover of one of my songs.”

Band of Horses will unleash more covers of their songs when they release Acoustic at the Ryman on February 11. The live album features acoustic renditions of tracks from the group’s entire catalog, which were recorded at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, back in April of last year. To celebrate its release, the group will head out on an acoustic tour, which kicks off at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, the same day the album is released.
