Fall Out Boy will bowl fans over at the end of this month when they serve as the halftime entertainment for the 2014 Pro Bowl Presented by McDonald's.
The guys are slated to play cuts from their latest release, Save Rock and Roll , accompanied by Hawaiian drummers, fire knife dancers and the Pro Bowl Cheerleaders. Tickets are on sale now for the Pro Bowl, which takes place January 26 and will air live on NBC at 7 p.m. ET. Visit NFL.com or Ticketmaster.com for more info.
As previously reported, Fall Out Boy will also take part in another football-related concert event, this one celebrating the Super Bowl. The band has signed on to perform a set at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY, on January 29 for VH1’s Super Bowl Blitz: Six Nights + Six Concerts . Other artists scheduled to participate in the series include pop stars Goo Goo Dolls and Gavin DeGraw, and hip-hop and R&B artists J. Cole , TLC and singer Janelle Monae .
To get your tickets to the events, you’ll need to follow VH1 on Twitter, go to the locations they tweet out, get your picture taken with the VH1 Blitz mascot, Iggy the Penguin, and tweet the picture with the hashtag #VH1Blitz.
If you can't score tickets to that event, don't worry: all six shows will air live on VH1, January 27-February 1 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, hosted by Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler . You can also watch the concerts live on the VH1 app, or check them out on-demand at SuperBowl.VH1.com the day after each show.
Super Bowl XVIII will take place on Sunday, February 2, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
