Former members of the  Runaways  and  Guns N' Roses  are among the talent of a benefit concert in L.A.. Called "Rock Against MS," this will mark the second annual show to raise money toward research on multiple sclerosis.

Set to take the stage at the Whisky A Go-Go is a long list of friends of  Nancy B. Sayle , a rock publicist afflicted with MS who has begun a fundraising foundation to fight the disease. More than a dozen artists will participate, including former Runaways  Lita Ford  and  Cherie Currie , ex-GunsN' Roses guitarist  Gilby Clarke ,  Jack Russell's Great White , former  Megadeth  bassist  James LoMenzo and ex- Filter  bassist  Phil Buckman .

Also, according to  Blabbermouth.net , reps from  Guitar Player  magazine will be on hand to award Lita Ford with the magazine's Certified Guitar Player award.

Guitar Player  editor-in-chief  Michael Molenda  says that Ford deserves the honor -- which the magazine first bestowed in 2002, with  Les Paul  as its first recipient -- because she "slugged it out with the boys club in an era where female musicians who liked to rock hard had very few heroes."

"But Lita was there, and man, did she cut a heroic figure," he adds. "She was tough. She was smart. She could write a good song. And she could shred. Since the Runaways in the late 1970s, and throughout her solo career, Lita has been a beacon of cool, and an inspiration for girls AND boys who want to express themselves through the guitar. She is the definition of a certified legend."

The Rock Against MS benefit takes place on March 26.
