The Tigers wasted a brilliant outing by David Price, losing to the Rays 1-0 yesterday at Tropicana Field. Price, on the mound for the first time against his former team, allowed one unearned run in the first inning and gave up just one hit while striking out nine in a complete game loss. Detroit was held to four hits and went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Miguel Cabrera was the designated hitter yesterday after he aggravated an old right ankle injury while running the bases in Wednesday's 6-0 win. Manager Brad Ausmus said the issue comes up from time to time, and he's not too concerned about the first baseman. Tonight, Detroit opens a four game set against the Twins in Minnesota. Robbie Ray gets the start for the Tigers, while the Twins counter with Tommy Milone.
