Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander may be back on the mound in Minnesota. Yesterday, he said he expects to avoid a stint on the disabled list and start one of the games of a doubleheader Saturday against the Twins. Verlander has been sidelined with inflammation in his right shoulder since last week. He had two throwing sessions earlier this week and is scheduled to work in the bullpen today. The Tigers are planning to recall pitcher Buck Farmer from Triple-A Toledo to start the other half of Saturday's doubleheader.
