A new documentary focusing on Bjork 's Biophila tour will begin a limited series of screening at movie theaters, festivals, museums, libraries and art galleries around the world, starting September 5.
The movie, Bjork: Biophilia Live , premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last April. It mixes live concert footage shot in London last September with new animation and archival science and nature footage, in an attempt to capture the themes and style of Bjork's 2011 multimedia Biophilia project.
The first screening will take place in Bjork's native Iceland on September 5, followed by a screening at New York City's IFC Center September 26. Screenings will then continue at various venues around the world, from October through December, including two-week runs in Los Angeles, New Orleans and Phoenix.
