The Tigers road woes continued with an 11-6 loss to the Pirates in Pittsburgh last night. Starter Justin Verlander was charged with the loss after giving up five runs, four earned, on four hits while striking out the side in the first inning. Verlander did not return in the second inning because of shoulder soreness. He will have an MRI and be re-evaluated today. Rajai Davis went three-for-five at the plate with two RBI. With the loss, Detroit falls into second place in the Central Division behind Kansas City. Tonight, the Tigers send Robbie Ray to the mound and Edinson Volquez will get the start for the Pirates.
