The show will go on for Kings of Leon 's appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon , but not on the road -- at least for now.

Tonight Show drummer and bandleader Questlove will step in for injured KoL drummer Nathan Followill Tuesday evening for a one-off performance of “Family Tree,” which appears on the band’s 2013 album, Mechanical Bull .

As previously reported, the band was forced to postpone last Sunday's scheduled concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, after Followill suffered broken ribs in a tour bus accident. That date is now canceled per doctor's orders, as are the groups next nine dates through Aug. 26, according to Billboard .

A statement posted on Kings of Leon's Facebook page explained, "The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill."  For his part, Followill tweeted , "Thank you for all of the get well soons. I'm a little banged up but will be back better than ever."

The band is still slated to perform Aug. 28 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
