ROCHESTER (WKZO) -- A victim of the shooting at the Navy Shipyard in Washington, D.C., is a Michigan native.

Michael Arnold was a 29-year veteran of the Navy who retired and was working for a contractor at the facility.  His mother Patricia told WDIV-TV that she is still in shock over the news and her heart is hurting for those who lost loved ones.

Michael Arnold was 59-years-old and married for over 30 years.  He is survived by his wife and two grown sons.  Patricia Arnold says her son was recently home visiting over Labor Day weekend.
