Metallica is giving us a sneak peak at their upcoming 3D film, Metallica Through the Never . The band has just posted two short clips from the flick, which is set to arrive at IMAX theaters across North America for a full week starting September 27.
The first clip features actor Dane DeHaan , who portrays a member of Metallica’s stage crew in the movie, wandering into a fight between an angry mob and the police. The two-minute clip also includes a snippet of “Wherever I May Roam,” along with footage of the band performing the track live in concert.
The second clip shows DeHaan fighting against the mob, throwing a brick at one of its members before running away. That clip includes a snippet of “Cyanide” and also features footage of the band performing the song live.
After Metallica Through the Never has its run in the IMAX theaters, it'll expand into additional theaters starting October 4. The film’s soundtrack, Metallica Through the Never (Music from the Motion Picture) , will arrive at the usual outlets on September 24. A vinyl edition of the full soundtrack, as well as some limited-edition singles, will be available in the fall.
