Lollapalooza is expanding their brand. Producers of the annual music extravaganza posted a note on the festival’s Facebook page on Friday to announce that they'll be staging a new version of the fest in Argentina next year.
“We'd like to officially welcome Lollapalooza Argentina to the #Lolla Family!,” reads the post. “Dates, lineup and ticket info is all coming soon, sign up on their email list to get the first announcement!”
The note also includes a link to video, which features footage of a number of bands performing at previous Lollapalooza festivals, including Pearl Jam , Foo Fighters , The Black Keys , Jane's Addiction and Queens of the Stone Age .
Going international is nothing new for Lollapalooza: versions of the festival have been staged in Brazil and Chile. A Lollapalooza event in Israel was planned for last month, but it was canceled due to “financial and production setbacks.”
