Interpol frontman Paul Banks has teamed up with Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA to create music for a new side project. RZA says the guys have been slowly crafting the new material for quite some time, and they already have a deal in place with Warner Brothers Records to release their debut album once it’s completed.

“We're been working on it for six months now,” RZA tells Rolling Stone . “We went to the studio and we started writing songs and they sound very, very different than what I do, but very unique and very peculiar.”

Before you get too excited about the Banks-Wu-Tang collaboration, RZA adds he isn’t in a hurry to release the duo’s debut. “It won't be out for a while,” he explains. “It may take us a year to finish this album.”
