DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Ford Motor Company has named the successors for three retiring executives.
Top labor negotiator Marty Lully, design chief J Mays and North American manufacturing chief Jim Tetreault will retire on the first of January. Bill Dirksen takes over for Lully, Moray Callum becomes the new vice president of design and Bruce Hettle is promoted to North American manufacturing chief.
In the Detroit Free Press, Michelle Krebs with Edmunds.com is quoted as saying "I think the main thing behind this is Mark Fields is putting his stamp on the organization." Fields was promoted to COO earlier this year, a move that most believe indicates that he will succeed Alan Mulally.
