LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette is encouraging any Michigan residents who feel they or an organization they're involved with were targeted by the IRS to step forward.

Schuette is specifically talking about the revelation that the IRS targeted Tea Party and other conservative groups for extra scrutiny during the 2012 election.  The Ottawa County Patriots have already stepped forward and said they believe they were victims.

Schuette wants President Obama to appoint a special prosecutor to look into the scandal.
