DETROIT (WKZO) -- Detroit could soon have its own ten-foot-tall RoboCop statue.
According to the Imagination Station, disassembled molds of the various parts of the statue could be delivered to the Venus Bronze Works by the end of the week. Brandon Walley, with Imagination Station, says the pieces are ready to be turned into a ten-foot-tall bronze statue.
The idea for the RoboCop statue evolved from a tweet in February 2011. From there an online fundraiser generated 60-thousand dollars, and according to Walley, every dime will be spent. Walley would like to see the statue eventually placed somewhere downtown.
