Metallica has been slowly crafting their follow-up to 2008’s Death Magnetic , and bassist Robert Trujillo says that he has a good feeling about what they’ve written so far.
“The ideas that I have been hearing and have been a part of, to me are very, very exciting and I see us making a great album,” he tells South Africa's AllAfrica.com . “I feel in my heart that we are going to do something special. Beyond this, I have no idea what is going to happen 'cause, right now, it feels great and we are gonna do that, but the next album -- we'll see.”
Trujillo also gave an update on the progress of the group’s upcoming 3D concert film, Through the Never , which will premiere exclusively at every IMAX theater across North America for a full week starting September 27. “I've seen a recent cut and we have a lot of work to do -- we're not finished, but we're getting close and I feel that the end result will be special,” he reveals. “I believe it's going to be great.”
