Frontman Trent Reznor is offering fans the chance to watch a rare Nine Inch Nails tour documentary from the 1990s. The 74-minute film , which was originally available only on the 1997 Closure VHS, is now available at NIN's Tumblr page.
The flick, which is definitely not safe for viewing at work, features performances and behind-the-scenes footage from NIN’s Self Destruct Tour, which took place between 1994-1996. It also includes some high profile cameos from Marilyn Manson and David Bowie .
Reznor also posted a few more rare gems on the band's Tumblr page: acoustic performances of " The Becoming ," " Something I Can Never Have " and " Gone, Still " featuring former NIN members Danny Lohner and Jerome Dillon . Those stripped-down tracks were originally featured on Still , NIN’s companion album to 2002's And All That Could Have Been .
Last month, Reznor announced that NIN would hit the road with a new lineup that includes former Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery , King Crimson multi-instrumentalist Adrian Belew , Alessandro Cortini , Telefon Tel Aviv ’s Josh Eustis and Ilan Rubin . So far, the band is set to appear at a number of festivals overseas, including Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, South Korea’s Ansan Valley Festival and Germany’s Rock’n’Heim Festival.
While NIN is expected to announce more tour dates soon, Billboard quotes sources saying that the band will be performing at this year’s Lollapalooza festival, which takes place August 2-4 in Chicago, IL.
