Good news for Blur fans: frontman Damon Albarn has revealed that the band has plans to make a follow-up to 2003’s Think Tank . The singer tells The Wall Street Journal that the guys can expect to hit the studio following the release of his upcoming debut solo album.
Back in May, Albarn announced that Blur would be taking some time off to work on new material in Hong Kong, though they have yet to reveal if they've recorded anything.
While Albarn has yet to announce a release date for his solo release, he recently told Rolling Stone that the album was recorded under the supervision of XL Records owner Richard Russell . “Making a solo record...can be such a disaster, so I thought if we're going to make a record with my name on it, I should get someone to really produce it -- take that responsibility away from myself,” Albarn noted. “Richard does the kind of rhythmic side of it and I do everything else.”
