DETROIT (WKZO) -- Two men have been convicted in the 2011 shooting death of a Wayne State University football player.

Anton Blevins and Quintin King were found guilty by a Wayne County jury on Friday following a seven-day trial.  According to authorities, the pair is responsible for the death of Courtney "Cortez" Smith, who was trying to break up a fight outside Club Envy in downtown Detroit when the shooting occurred.

King was convicted of first-degree murder and Blevins second-degree murder.  Both are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
