BLOOMFIELD (WKZO) -- A funeral is scheduled for this Saturday for crime novelist Elmore "Dutch" Leonard.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Name Church in Birmingham. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Lynch & Sons in Clawson.
Often referred to as the Dickens of Detroit, Leonard, who passed away Tuesday, wrote 45 novels and was working on his 46th. A number of his books were made into movies including "Get Shorty," "Out of Sight" and "Joe Kidd." Leonard was 87-years-old.
