LANSING (WKZO) -- Five Michigan cities will share 100 million dollars from the federal government to flight blight.

More than half will go to Detroit, which will receive 52.3-million dollars.  Governor Snyder says the rest will be split up between Grand Rapids, Flint, Pontiac and Saginaw through the Hardest Hit Fund.

Snyder's office says the demolitions represent a "major expansion" of efforts by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to address blight.
