Nirvana fans will be excited to learn that the forthcoming 20th anniversary release of the Super Deluxe version of the band’s In Utero album will include more than 40 previously unreleased demos, rehearsal tracks, B-sides and live performances spread out over three CDs and a DVD.
According to Rolling Stone , the set includes the rare B-sides “Marigold,” “Moist Vagina,” “Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through the Strip,” and “I Hate Myself and Want to Die,” the latter of which appeared on 1993’s The Beavis and Butt-head Experience compilation. It also features “Sappy,” a hidden track which was included on the 1993 AIDS-benefit compilation album No Alternative , and a previously unreleased instrumental titled “Forgotten Tune.”
In addition, the Super Deluxe edition includes Nirvana's complete “Live and Loud” concert recorded on December 13, 1993 at Pier 48 in Seattle, which is being released both as audio-only and on video. The DVD version of the concert features 12 additional performances that were culled from the group’s European concerts and TV appearances.
The Super Deluxe 20th anniversary edition of In Utero will be available in stores and online at digital retailers on September 24.
