ALLEGAN (WKZO) -- The Allegan City Council has already decided to ask voters in November of this year to spend some of the money the city received from the sale of the Allegan Dam to fund a riverfront development plan.
The plan they want voters to approve comes with impressive artist’s renderings created through a program called “Place Plan”, which was sponsored by the Michigan Municipal League. They helped the city develop a concept for the river front.
Matt Bach says the renderings are getting not just local but worldwide attention at their website.
The new project would include walkways, a festival site, a splash pad and ice skating rink, among other amenities.
