As expected, some of the biggest names in rock will be on hand to take part in the 28th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which takes place on Thursday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will get the honor of welcoming fellow Seattle musicians Heart into the Hall of Fame, while Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell will join Heart for their performance.
Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters will also making an appearance at the event to induct Canadian power trio Rush into the Hall of Fame.
Other artists to be inducted as part of the class of 2013 include rappers Public Enemy , late disco pioneer Donna Summer , late blues guitarist Albert King , and singer/songwriter Randy Newman . In addition, producers Quincy Jones and Lou Adler will both be presented with a lifetime achievement award.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be filmed by HBO and is scheduled to air May 18.
