Last night in Los Angeles, Stone Temple Pilots took the stage without founding front-man Scott Weiland. The band brought long-time Linking Park front-man Chester Bennington on stage with them to an erupting crowd.
Not a complete surprise here, back in 2002 Stone Temple Pilots released a single called "Wonderful" that featured Chester. This time around, they're doing it again; the combo debuted a brand news song called "Out of Time"...and you can actually hear it here:
Now it doesn't sound like this will be a long-term venture, STP's Dean DeLeo said:
“We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we’re all really happy with the result.”
Only time will tell, but for now, let's just enjoy a pretty solid effort by the combo.
