Pearl Jam taking over "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" next week.

by Otto Man

Pearl Jam will enjoy a weeklong residency on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." Next week Monday through Friday, there will be special performances from the band's catalogue by a collaboration of star musicians. Next Monday Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will perform "Footsteps" with the Avett Brothers. Tuesday Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold will perform "Corduroy," which will include other special surprise guests. (This will also be Pecknold's first TV performance in almost two years.) Wednesday will have country star Dierks Bentley performing with The Roots and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready for what's being called "a one-of-a-kind performance." Then, Pearl Jam will close out the week Thursday and Friday. They will be the only televised performances by the band to promote its new album. The last time the band performed on TV was in September 2011, when they hit the "Late Night" stage for a two-night stay. The celebration will come the week after the band releases its "Lightning Bolt" album. More and more

Meanwhile Pearl Jam has teamed with Fox Sports to let them use 48 Pearl Jam songs for this month's World Series coverage. Fox will also feature the group's music throughout November as “Artist of the Month” across all Fox Sports properties. The deal includes all 12 tracks from their new album, "Lightning Bolt," plus 36 songs from the Pearl Jam catalog spanning all the band's albums. More
