Lostprophets singer back in court

by Otto Man

According to BBC News, singer Ian Watkins of LOSTPROPHETS will go on trial in the fall to face a total of 23 offenses, including two charges of raping a baby. The trial is scheduled to begin on November 25 and is expected to last a month. Watkins, 35, allegedly twice raped the child, who was under 12 months old at the time. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which were revealed on Monday, when Watkins appeared at court via video link from prison. A statement from the singer was read outside court. It said: "I want to thank my family, friends and all the fans for there continued support throughout this whole ordeal. Your support gives me strength. I deny all the allegations made against me and will continue to fight to the end to clear my name." Watkins faces further charges of possessing, taking and making indecent photographs of children — the oldest of them dating back to March 2007. Two women — one aged 20 and the other 24 — are facing a child-sex charge alongside Watkins. More and more and more
