Worst Password List for 2013

Saw in Time online that Splashdata has it's list of the worst passwords for 2013.

Top 5 worst passwords for 2013:

  1. 123456
  2. password
  3. 12345678
  4. qwerty
  5. abc123

123456 passed password at the top of this year's list. If you have one of these passwords, change it TODAY. 

Here are some tips on creating a secure password from Microsoft  

Length matters: Make your passwords at least eight (8) long. 

What to use: Include a combination of at least three (3) upper and/or lowercase letters, punctuation, symbols, and numerals. The more variety of characters in your password, the better. 

Passwords are like underwear: Change them often. 

BIG DON'T: The same password for everything.
